Meet Our Doctor
Dr. Priyanka Kainthla grew up in College Station, Texas. She graduated from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and then obtained her Master of Science in Biology from the University of Texas San Antonio. Dr. Kainthla received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating with distinction, from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. She next completed her residency and received her Certification in Pediatric Dentistry from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry.
Fun Fact #1: Dr. Kainthla played collegiate basketball for Southwestern University!
Dr. Kainthla trained at Children’s Medical Center Hospital and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital where she worked with children who had special healthcare needs. She trained extensively in various behavior management techniques, including oral sedation, IV sedation, and dental care in the operating room under general anesthesia. Dr. Kainthla is committed to providing high quality oral health care to all children and looks forward to making your child’s dental experience pleasant and fun!
Dr. Kainthla is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southwestern Pediatric Dental Society, Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Greater Dallas Pediatric Dental Society. She is also a proud member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentist, giving her the unique distinction of being a board-certified Pediatric Dentist.
Fun Fact #2: As an Adjunct Associate Professor at Texas A&M University School of Dentistry, Dr. Kainthla educates and trains future pediatric dentists to provide the highest quality of care!
In her free time, Dr. Kainthla loves spending time with her husband, daughter, and close family members. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys cooking, watching movies (Hollywood and Bollywood films), and maintains an active, healthy lifestyle.
